Purse money is distributed according to the finishing position and the rules of the race, with deductions for the trainer, jockey and applicable fees. The remainder is distributed to the ownership group in proportion to their interests.

Racing outcomes are genuinely uncertain. A horse may generate purse earnings, may develop residual breeding or resale value, or may do neither. We will not forecast returns, and we are cautious of anybody who does.

Injury, illness, underperformance, changes in the bloodstock market and limited liquidity. A horse cannot be sold on demand and there is no secondary market comparable to a listed security. Risk is covered candidly in the Investor Library.

It should be treated as illiquid. Exit generally depends on a sale of the horse or of an interest in it, both of which take time and depend on market conditions.

You receive documentation confirming your interest, are introduced to the team responsible for the horse, and begin receiving updates as training progresses towards a first or next start.

Yes. Stable visits are arranged privately, around the training schedule. You can request one at any time.

Yes. Owner access at the racecourse is one of the genuine pleasures of ownership, and we arrange it wherever the rules of the racing jurisdiction allow.
